Meet Nick Bloise
I am a life-long resident of Carmichael. I am blessed to be from a family of multiple generations of graduates from the San Juan Unified School District with another generation about to start his education in the district.
My Education
I graduated California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration and Finance.
I am also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College where I developed the skills to write policy and procedures for organizations impacting thousands of individuals.
I began my civilian career as an auditor for the State of California, reviewing financial records and educating businesses ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. I also have operated several small businesses developing an understanding of how businesses operate in the 21st century.
A lifetime of service to community
Service to our nation has always been important to me. While still a senior in high school, I enlisted into the United States Army where I served for over 20 years both active duty and reserve (first enlisted and as an officer, retiring as a Major).
Since retiring from the Army, I have been involved in numerous Boards and Commissions including:
- Carmichael Planning and Advisory Council (7 years/ 4 as Chairman)
- Sacramento Taxpayers Association
- Carmichael Improvement District
- Sacramento County Civil Service Commission
- Sacramento Park and Carmichael Park Foundations
- San Juan Unified School District Bond Oversight Committee.
- In 2024, I was awarded the Taxpayer Hero Award from the Sacramento Taxpayers Association
- Volunteer of the Year Award from the Mission Oaks Recreation & Park District.
Why I am running
As an educator who teaches students in the San Juan Unified School District, I want to make sure schools are focused on the basics: reading, writing, and math by ensuring a classroom environment that facilitates and inspires young minds to dream big and encourages them to participate in all activities of life such as science, technology, sports, music, and the arts.
In addition, I will place emphasis on ensuring kids are in safe schools by funding the staffing of school resource officers, completion of security measures and policies and other procedures to protect our staff and children. My own nephew is now part of the district, and his safety is important to me, so I can relate to the concerns of parents and caregivers with their concerns for their own family members.
Lastly, ensuring fiscal and policy transparency so taxpayers, parents, teachers, students and staff can work together for the betterment of our children and community.
I hope to earn your support - and your vote - on November 5th. Thank you.
